At Carpenter & Company, we specialize in the highest quality finish carpentry, including installing doors and trim, crown moldings, wood flooring, and cabinetry. Very often, we focus on a particular room at a time, be it a dining room, library, kitchen, or bathroom. In most cases, we manufacture cabinetry and millwork in our own shop here in Newport, Rhode Island. Very often, we work with other cabinet makers and welcome the opportunity to work with other interior designers, architects, and finishing construction companies from Boston to New York. We are also willing and able to manage remodel projects.
Cabinet Making—Full service, from site visit to design to fabrication to installation. We like to use green products and recycled or reclaimed materials, but most of our projects are created using high grade Veneer plywoods and hardwoods. In custom design, we use every available inch to fill your requirement; a complete wall-to-wall concept.
Finish Carpentry—We finish a room or whole house, from installing doors to trimming windows, baseboards, and cabinetry. We build bookcases and finish the room with trim, working with design concepts from making it to installing it.
Millwork—We install interior millwork and moldings. We install doors and casings, crown moldings, and baseboards. We are able create our own millwork based on design or site requirements.
